Tour du Lac de Morat and Nearby Hotel

The trip starts in the middle ages Zähringer town of Murten with its historical Old Town of nationwide value and many games. The wall surrounding the town was constructed in between the 17th and 13th centuries and is among the best-preserved strongholds in Switzerland.

After leaving the lovely middle ages town of Murten behind, you take the roadway in the direction of Greg and continue an enjoyable field course which provides a magnificent view of the lake and the Vully area. The path takes you back to the lakeshore at Faoug, and after that, you cross the outdoor camping website of Avenches. After a couple of kilometres, you will reach Salavaux, house to among Switzerland’s longest sandy beaches.

The hills to the north of Lake Murten provide a stunning view of the Alps and Jura – as well as an abundant historic heritage. After a quick slope, the path runs through the Chablais, a big forest along the Seeland also famous as the biggest veggie garden in Switzerland, prior to lastly leading back to Murten.
